Winter '25 explores pu’er in 3 different forms, all sourced from Yunnan and hand-shaped into convenient single-serve balls. Each box contains 3 of each:
Raw pu’er offers a naturally aged, lively character that continues to evolve with time and infusion.
Ripe pu’er provides a smooth, grounding cup, traditionally appreciated for its warmth and ease.
Glutinous rice pu’er follows a Dai-style tradition, blending ripe pu’er with strobilanthes tonkinensis, a forest herb from Xishuangbanna that imparts its distinctive aromatic warmth.
Together, they reflect pu’er’s range — from structure and vitality to mellow richness and comfort.
What is Pu'er
Pu’er is a style of tea from Yunnan, traditionally valued for its depth, transformation, and relationship with time. Made from large leaf tea trees, pu’er can be enjoyed in its raw form, which ages naturally and evolves over time, or as ripe pu’er, which is carefully fermented to create a smooth, mellow character from the outset. Often brewed over many infusions, pu’er slowly unfolds over repeated infusions.
Tasting notes
A spectrum from lively structure to smooth, mellow depth.
Gentle bitterness, natural sweetness, and warming body across the set.
Designed to unfold over repeated infusions rather than peak at once.
